上野公園は、桜の季節に東京で最も人気があり混雑するスポットの 1 つです。 正門までの道にある1,000本の桜並木で知られています。
上野公園の桜まつりは、東京でお花見やパーティーをするのに最も人気のある場所の 1 つです。 中央通路には1000本を超える桜の木が植えられています。 3月下旬から4月上旬が開花期となり、この時期は大変混雑します。 夜のイルミネーションもおすすめのスポットです。 1,000個以上の提灯が桜の周りに吊るされ、祭りの夜に点灯されます。
上野公園には、400 年以上前に 800 本の桜の木が植えられました。 寛永寺境内の周囲に植えられています。 上野の戦いの後、寺院の建造物はほぼ完全に破壊されましたが、西洋風の公園として整備されました。 その後、1873年に一般公開されました。現在の上野公園には、東京国立博物館、東京都美術館、国立科学博物館、国立西洋美術館などの美術館が集まっています。 また、上野動物園として知られる日本初の動物園もあります。

Cherry Blossom Festival at Ueno Park is one of the most popular places to have a hanami (flower viewing) picnic or parties in Tokyo. The central pathway is lined with over 1000 sakura (cherry blossom) trees. In late March to early April is the blooming period for the flower and becomes very crowded around that time. Another reason why to have a good spot is for the illuminations at night. Over 1000 lanterns will be hung around the cherry blossoms and lit during the nights of the festival.
In Ueno Park, 800 of the cherry blossom trees were planted more than 400 years ago. The trees were planted around the Kaneiji temple grounds. After the Battle Ueno, the temple structures were almost completely destroyed, but were converted into western style park. It was later opened to the public in 1873. The present Ueno Park has many museums like the Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, National Science Museum, and National Museum of Western Art. Also you can find the first zoological garden in Japan known as Ueno Zoo.
