Haratanien is a beautiful garden located in Kita-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. In spring, the vast grounds, which cover an area of about 4,000 tsubo (about 1,000 square meters), are tinged with cherry blossoms, creating the feeling of being in another world. Visitors can enjoy various types of cherry blossoms such as weeping cherry trees and Fugenzo cherry trees. When you look up at the sky, you will see a shower of cherry blossoms. This is a hidden spring spot for those in the know, where not only cherry blossoms, but also azaleas, rhododendrons, and other flowers bloom. Haratani-en is a beautiful garden located in Kita-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. This garden has the characteristics of a traditional Japanese karesansui (dry landscape garden) and is characterized by a landscape in harmony with nature. Ponds of various sizes and stone arrangements are placed in the garden, and visitors can enjoy beautiful scenery in each of the four seasons. With the arrival of spring, it is a popular spot for viewing beautiful cherry blossoms that delight visitors. Access to Harayaen from Kyoto Station is relatively convenient. It can be reached in about 30 minutes by city bus or cab from Kyoto Station.
